Management Board of Adriatic Slovenica

The Company is managed by a management board consisting of 3 members.

  • <strong>Gabrijel Škof, President of the Management Board</strong>

    Gabrijel Škof, President of the Management Board

    Born in 1960 in Ljubljana. A graduate of the Law Faculty in Ljubljana, passed his bar exam and started to work in insurance in 1986 first by being a manager in the largest Slovenian insurance company (executive director for non-life insurance, member of the management board, adviser to the management board, director of the Ljubljana branch).

    Mr. Škof was appointed member of the Management Board of Adriatic Slovenica on 9 November 2006 and became the president of the Management Board on 1 October 2007.

    Mr. Škof is member of a number of professional organisations and associations (member of the Council of the Slovenian Insurance Association, member of the Supervisory Board of the Nuclear Insurance and Reinsurance Pool, member of the Organising Committee for the preparation and performance of the Insurance days,  member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Crafts and Small Businesses - Primorska gospodarska zbornica). Member of the Board of Directors of AS neživotno osiguranje, a.d.o., Beograd, the subsidiary incorporated in Serbia.

  • <strong>Matej Cergolj, Member of the Management Board<br /> </strong>

    Matej Cergolj, Member of the Management Board

    Born in 1965 in Koper. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana where in 1995 he obtained his master’s degree in management and organisation. Mr. Cergolj worked for several years in sales and marketing and joined ADRIATIC SLOVENICA in 1995.

    Since 1995 to now, Mr. Cergolj has held several management position in different organisational units (head of management accounting and planning and analyses, director of the Controlling Department, director of the Treasury Department).

    Member of the management board since 1 February 2008.
    Mr. Cergolj is member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Primorska and member of the Board of Directors of AS neživotno osiguranje, a.d.o., Beograd, the subsidiary incorporated in Serbia.

  • <strong>Jacob Westerlaken, Member of the Management Board</strong>

    Jacob Westerlaken, Member of the Management Board

    Born in The Netherlands in 1967. After completing his studies of Mathematical Engineering and Actuarial Science, he gained a wide 15-year international experience working for various European insurance companies (Brans&Co., Raal, Stiching Performance, Amev/Fortis, ABN/AMRO) where he successfully developed new insurance products and new sales strategies. He was also employed at Fortis as General Director for Europe (from May 2005 to December 2007), worked as General Director at Rosgosstrauh (from December 2007 to February 2009), to finally become a partner in the company Financial Access.

    Mr. Westerlaken has been appointed Member of the management board at Adriatic Slovenica d.d. on September 23, 2011.
